| Bag Trends: Unlimited Budget |

| When our bag beat writer Betty was given the task to write about what she would buy with an unlimited budget, she really put her budget to the test. All I can say is, when she has this disposable income, I am going shopping with Betty! |

Choice #1: Hermes Birkin Bag |

Choice #2: Classic Quilted Chanel 2.55 |

Choice #3: Gucci Medium Britt Hobo & Positano Medium Top Handle Bag |

When I was asked to write about my top three bag purchases I would make with
an unlimited budget, I started to brainstorm about what three bag purchases I
would make. For me the obvious choices came first, a Hermes Birkin Bag and a
Chanel 2.55 bag. After mulling over my choices and brainstorming some more, I
realized that by being a true heart and soul bagaholic I could not be limited to
three because my list is about 100 choices long and all seem to be number one.
So ok, that might be a tad extreme, but it is pretty long I can assure you.
After much more thought I painfully eliminated bags from my list that were more
attainable without this imaginary unlimited budget. Still with those eliminated,
the list was still long. So I started to imagine what I would do with an
unlimited budget. I would just HAVE to buy first and far most, with out a doubt
in my mind, go and purchase a brown leather with gold hardware Birkin Bag. I
wouldn’t care if I had to wait 6 years for it, I would be satisfied with the
thought of it coming; I could most definitely wait! No questions asked!
For my second choice I would have to say that I would purchase a Chanel bag;
probably the 2.55. Every bagaholic should be familiar with this bag. Named 2.55
because that was the year it was made. It is stunning with its quilting and gold
chain. This handbag is simple, a pure classic, and is elegant. Today this
wonderful handbag, has been done in various materials; each stunning in their
own right. But if I had to choose I believe I would choose a simple black
leather one. I guess for its practicality and black goes with almost everything.
I had a tie between two Gucci handbags for my third choice; the first being the
Brit Medium Hobo and the second being Positano Medium Top Handle Bag. Both are
exquisite. The Brit Hobo is a beautiful chocolate brown with the signature “GG”
logo. This shoulder bag is a great size and would be perfect for the present and
future. The Positano Bag is done in the brown canvas with the silk scarf laced
through the top. What I love about this bag is the fact that it has so many
different uses. It can be a great carry on, a chic work bag or a school bag (for
those students who are lucky to carry one of course!) and a fabulous handbag to
fit all the stuff that we shove into our handbags.
Reviewing my four choices I realized that I picked handbags that were going to
translate in future seasons and would only look better with age. Of course with
an unlimited budget I could afford to go the trendy route, but I guess if I am
going to spend the money I want something that I am going to have forever.
Hopefully one day I will be able to check off each item on the list!
