Bag Trends: My Little "Valentine"

Here at Handbag Designer 101, we have been fortunate to have a new crop of fantastic writers joining us for the new year 007. Our latest installment is from our Greece-hailed writer, Ivi, who is well connected with great style and a true eye of what is to come.

Valentino Leather Sweetheart Bag
  Stella McCartney Patent Zip Bag
  Cannage Drawstring Bag

Need something to brighten up a dull cold day? Or get in the mood of spring in the middle of winter? Does Red ring a bell?

Red the color of love and lust; the color of life, power, joy and happiness. It is also is a symbol of good luck in some cultures. But what it certainly does is that it makes you feel very special, very VIP. And when we’re talking about a fabulous red bag, then red is always a safe choice too.

We can consider red as the new black. A red handbag goes with everything: your winter coats and trenches, your black outfit, the ‘new’ navy looks that emerge every spring, white, jeans, floral dresses, dark business suits, your weekend shorts, you name it. A red bag can be dressed up or down, it even compliments your hot new red lipstick. It comes in all shapes and sizes and works with any wardrobe.

Check out my little ‘Valentine's:

·  Valentino Leather Sweetheart Bag ($1,590.) It is certainly a sweetheart with all the trimmings, trendy, with class and versatile; it can go to work, play or just hang out with you.

·  Stella McCartney Patent Zip Bag ($995): modern yet classy, takes you straight from work to a date. Don’t have a date yet? You can take ‘her’ for drinks instead.

·  The same goes for the Cannage Drawstring Bag by Dior ($1,245.) If this red beauty makes your heart bump, anything else is just a compromise.

Carry one of those babies and you’ll feel ‘red hot stuff’ all year round!
