It seems that without hardware, bags just look lonley. Websites like UMX.com cater to designers need to bump up their bags with more bells and whistles (literally) to make them more interesting. (Note to independent designers, stay away from the bamboo handles please!) In keeping with trend, brands like Cole Haan, Chloé and Salvatore Ferragamo can be used to great inspiration or just to own for the right way to do hardware. Just enough to make it look unstructured with shine but not so overdone that it should come with a chiropractor's number on the label.
