I have to say I have been an admirer of Lanvin for many years now. I had the pleasure of doing many projects and inspirational collages at my more carefree days attending LIM (fashion school of business in NYC) Lanvin is the oldest couture house in France – created in 1889 by a young designer Jeanne Lanvin who had the honor of opening a boutique on the prestigious rue du Faubour Saint Honore’. Alber Elbaz reignited Lanvin in 2001 his design and creative direction is taking Lanvin back to the status it all began at.

The lush Amalia Shoulder Bag, priced at $2790 in Khaki Python is simply divine. The detailing of the gold zippers, front and bottom pockets, and tortoise shell cover for the chain shoulder strap is gorgeous. They take it a step further and give it a little French twist with the bow and logo charms which make it fun in a chic way.

The sleek no fuss Ombre Flap Bag, priced at $1895 shows that sometimes you don’t need a lot of bells and whistles to show great design and fashion sense. The argent metallic leather which appears soft and worn gives the bag its dimension and lure. The chain strap is something I would love to be wearing around my neck something so Lanvin to put it on a handbag.
