I have been watching Project Runway since the 2nd season, so Michael Kors is a name that I am quite familiar with. However, I have to say that he doesn’t always get the recognition that I feel he deserves. His clothes are divine, his accessories are fierce, and he himself is fabulous!

Michael Kors was born right here in the USA – he comes from NY and has the most oh vey of Jewish mothers – she can work a pearl necklace! Mr. Kors has been designing clothes since he was 19 - (funny he doesn’t look a day older then 21). In 81’ he launched his very first womenswear line which was immediately picked up by Bergdorf’s and Neiman’s (not bad). He has won countless awards and has received the crème de la crème of the fashion world CFDA.

For the longest time his bags have been catching my attention. Ever on the forefront of fashion and from his MICHAEL by Michael Kors line you have the Austin Magenta Satchel priced at $398 in gorgeous soft leather with gold tone hardware. This bag just screams the coming of spring and open toes shoes. This is a great color as well because it is not a trendy pink/purple -it will always be in style and always compliment an outfit. Always the lover of black and you have the ever so indulgent looking Michael Kors Black Patent Chain Tote, priced at $1295. This is totally worth the $3.55 it would cost you each day to save for - (come on you spend more then that on coffee)! This bag will get you through decades not just seasons. Finally, and yes a little bit trendier but it just shows you the versatility of this designer. Again from his MICHAEL by Michael Kors line the Tribal Zebra Shoulder Satchel priced at $368. To me this is the perfect beach bag, big enough to carry your magazines and sunscreen and stylish enough to bring with you to happy hour!
