Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Alma
  The Scuba GM handbag
  Stephen Sprouse Speedy 30

I’ve always been a firm believer that the best way to stand out from the crowd is with a little bit of color. So for Spring, I’ve been pleased with what I’ve seen in the marketplace. From neon blinders to bold berries, there are so many ways to make a statement, albeit a bit of an investment. It just so happens that my three favorites all come form Louis Vuitton, who managed to really brighten it up.

This season’s Vernis Alma collection is like a new set of Crayola’s, fresh, enticing and colorful. The line comes in seven colorways for Spring with tempting choices like Orange Sunset, Rose Pop and Bleu Galactic. At $2,080, this bag is an investment piece, but quite remarkable. It’s monogrammed in vernis leather, or a coated leather giving it a sleek and sophisticated look. With a strong silhouette, brass hardware and signature padlock, this bag will be a stopper.

Even the Cruise Collection introduced solid bolds. The Scuba GM handbag comes in bright fuchsia and orange, complimenting the sun, beach and water perfectly. At $2,580, this “LV” monogrammed bag is made from neoprene, the same fabric that wet suits are made from, which makes it durable and quite novel for a bag. Now, whether you actually take it on resort, or keep it as an everyday piece, you’ll certainly have a fresh new look for spring.

Finally, the Stephen Sprouse Speedy 30 pays homage to the late artist and shows this iconic bag with a little attitude. The bag was first launched as a collaboration piece with Marc Jacobs and Stephen Sprouse in 2001 and shakes it up with monogrammed graffiti in Day-Glo colors like fuchsia, orange and green. This limited edition may be hard to come by, but at $1,180, it’s a solid choice. Because if you rewind 20 years, these brights were, in and if you fast forward 20, they’ll be back and dubbed “vintage.” Now isn’t that worth the investment?

So, if you’re going to do color, do it right. Whether it’s a sleek bag, a resort piece or street chic, you’ll make a statement every time. If you’re not afraid to stand out turn some heads do it with one of these. And, in the end, we all know that those who have more fun, are the ones that stand out!
