This city loves Louis; in a city where you can find every possible super label, girls from the young to the mature are willing to splurge for the newest LV. While it’s a little disconcerting and repetitive to see logo bags everywhere, this girl – or should I say, this bag – caught my eye on the MTR (mass transit railway). Inspired by the colours of Paul Guiguin’s Post – Impressionist art, the canvass’ hand painted monogram is refreshingly softly attractive in person. And while the golden “LV Inventeur” plaque on the front is a bit “I have a big logo bag” the gold hardware is a complimenting twinkle to the large pastel-like wash of pink, grey and white. The Tahitienne is a roomy tote that brings a nice splash of colour to an otherwise too serious train of passengers on their way home.

Hong Kong is all about labels but every now and then, it’s the anti-thesis of the super label that catches the eye. Naturally, it was super exciting to see the Liucia Ruffles N Cream Tote out and about in the heart of Causewaybay – on a girl with a super cute smile no less! The dark navy blue nappa with a slight shimmer with ruffles is feminine and classic. Inspired by candy colours the surprise peep of fuscia lining is youthful and yummy. This charming client also told me she appreciates the large hidden zipper pockets on the side as well as the myriad of pockets inside – merci beaucoup. Confident enough to have her picture taken she is exactly how I picture all Liucia clients to be! Thanks for reading.
