1. Hi Becky! My name is Linda Findlay. I am a Couture and Knit Couture handbag designer. I am also working on adding a line of Knit Couture sweater and jacket designs. I've been a lifelong collector of handbags (and shoes) and I have always had a passion for fashion and design. Earlier years saw modeling and fashion school days...but then life's course changed, chartered a new course and marriage and children pursued. To which, I wouldn't change a thing. I think time (life) has a way of working things out for the good, if we're prioritized, focused and determined.Just wanted to introduce myself, and I'de like to hear from you as well. Keep up the good work, I too, keep and open thought and vision toward working with other designers who share the same passion and devotion as I in the fas... - Linda G. Findlay from GA, June 20, 2007.

I am trained as a sculptor and have been sewing since I was about eight. Handbags seem like a very logical combination of my two loves. My range of handmade bags run from small wristlets to elegant zippered clutches to large shopper totes and custom work for bridal parties. I have about ten styles at any given time and add and subtract to my designs several times a year. I let the fabric inspire me to new combinations of pattern and color. I also invite local customers to my studio where they can choose from thousands of fabric, but I mainly sell my bags on-line, at special shopping events, and in boutiques in New England, across the United states and in several other countries.

The Becky OH! line got started because of my complete lack of self control when it comes to fabric. I had and still have a collection of prints and luscious textures. What better way to show how stylish and funky you are than to wear your art on your arm. Customers really enjoy my variety of materials, patterns and colors and the way I combine them. I love really beautiful fabric. The hunt for the unique and unusual is a real obsession and It keeps me thinking about design and form when a new texture or color comes into my hands. I enjoy working with twill, ultra-suede, silk, wool, cotton and even velvet. In this respect, everyone can enjoy my bags. My customers are all independent minded women who enjoy living life with style. Oh, and I don't want to leave out the men who buy for these fabulous women! My husband is very vocal on his favorites too.

Because I buy small quantities of material, each bag is unique. I like to keep a constant flow of fabulous fabric around me, so my styles are always fresh. I also like to work with other Independent designers and bring the spotlight on the beauty and worth of handmade items. Nightmares happen, it's working through them that counts. What makes it worth it? Repeat customers adding to their Becky OH! collection, receiving accolades from fellow designers and artists really send me over the moon. But my biggest joy was watching my son walk up to a stranger wearing my bag and say "Hey, is that a Becky OH! bag?, my mom made that!"
