Our story is a family story. A story of three sisters: Dina a fashion designer; Yael, a jewelry designer and Tamar a graphic designer. When we combine our talents - it just works! As long as we can remember, we wanted to work & design together. We all love handbags and bags contains all of our abilities. Bags are fashionable, hardware is like jewelry, and the colors and shapes are graphic, so "et voila!" - the Magnes Sisters are combined into one handbag.

Our handbags have a clean, modern vintage, high-end design. It's very important that the handbags are well designed yet functional. We design the hardware, use high quality Italian leather and find the most wonderful and refreshing linings. Our target market is women of all shapes and sizes - to go with our handbags.

We grew up in an artistic environment and ate, drank, and breathed art. It was always our dream to make a living out of our passion. We just read a good fortune cookie that said:" If you love your work, you will never need to get a job…” It is important to us that our customer will know we make our handbags in NY. We support the local industry and hope local manufactures can survive the changes we’ve been seeing in the past few years as it is always sad to see another factory close.

An example of a stressful day was when the director of a music video, Elad Keren, for Mary J. Blige wanted to place some of our clutches in her video. We were thrilled but we are located in NY and he was shooting the video in L.A., we had only a few hours to send the clutches to his stylist and we had to work against the clock!! Of course we made it as time was on our side that day. Needless to say, we have a few grew a few grey hairs for it as well…

Achievements can be many things. It could be a person that wrote an e-mail of how our bag changed her life. It could be just a person on the street asking us “Oh! I love your bag, where did you get it?” or being accepted to a big trade show. All of these experiences give us feedback and motivation to keep on doing what we love.
