I started amykathryn handbags to become a designer of my own line of accessories. Now we have evolved into creating accessories for our customer's needs and stylistic taste. It is much more rewarding to create for others than design for myself. amykathryn handbags all have our signature designed fabric. Each of our bags varies slightly to make each one unique. The fabric is a custom designed printed ultra-suede incorporated into each style. The fabric is durable for wear and hand-washable. It retains the delicate look of a unique fabric in a handbag.

Our target audience ranges in age from tween to senior depending on the style. Our customer is fun, stylistic with a bit of traditional, classic taste still in them. When I used to design and make custom fabric for interior designers, I started making accessories of my own and decided that was my ultimate direction. Now, it has taken a whole new life as people are desiring more and more to stand out and be individualistic. One thing we are proud to say is that We are animal and eco-friendly in our materials and attitude. The thing is that the process is almost just as important. I stayed up for 3 days straight putting together our design board for a meeting with one of our big catalogue companies. Then we traveled to Michigan to present, and they loved it! They were so sweet and saying how much they want to order and then ended up never placing another order. It makes a no even worse when buyers are sweet and "yes, yes, yes" you and then turn out to be a no.

One thing to always keep in mind though is that little achievements each day and compliments on the line are the reason I keep going strong!
