I've been designing since I was a child- designing clothes even before I understood the concept of patterns. I love mixing fabrics and textures, and all things whimsical. The designers that inspire me are the ones who think 'out of the box' and push the envelope! I am happy to say that 2009 will be a great year for Bellabags- lots of opportunities! I recently updated my 'Etsy' site  & am in the process of finishing up our bridal collection, as well as the launch of bellabags.com. The site will specify additional boutiques & websites where Bellabags can be purchased!

A big portion of the Bellabags line focuses on the importance of designing 'green.' All fabrics and trims are recycled or re-purposed. Bellabags are both whimsical and fun, and I believe that the customer base in limitless....A Bellabag will appeal to anyone who wants to be unique....the best part about a Bellabag, is that each one gives back in full circle!

After graduating FIT, I landed a job in accessories. It was a completely different path than I had envisioned for myself, but I had fallen in love with handbags and couldn't turn back! Bellabags began when I started designing on the side for fun- a handbag party here & there, bridal parties and evening bags. My husband really encouraged me too! Bellabags is all about "giving back" and looking fabulous while doing so. A portion of every Bellabag sold funds the Daniel Fennessy Memorial Fund. This fund benefits The Family Center of New York, which helps families affected by life-threatening illnesses.

I haven't had any nightmare stories, thankfully...I just try to take each experience, and learn & grow from it.  So far, my greatest achievement was being named "Audience Fan Favorite" at last years Handbag Designer 101 awards ceremony! It was such a thrill to be featured on the Bag Borrow or Steal website as well as the Early Show! I think that seeing someone wearing a bag that you created makes it all worth it!
