I was just doodling and writing poetry on old bags, then friends starting noticing they could be something more. My handbags have become my canvas for journal entries. Either from heartbreak to betrayal to rejection to deceit ... either from a boyfriend, bestie, buddy, lover, sister or brother - my stories and of those close to me have become my inspiration for boyfriendbags.  Every bag & its name has a story. Either meaningful to me, or to the owner. They are all one of a kind, however can be re-produced/modified…etc.

A nightmare? There has been so many! Since I’m using old fabrics/paints/iron transfers, I’ve had to test/re-test and sample almost every type of material/media combo. It took a while until I found the right, permanent materials/finishes, etc. My biggest accomplishment was my feature in Twist Magazine (on stands now), otherwise I feel most accomplished when I sell a bag to someone and I see their reaction. Each protocol is time-consuming, every detail from color, to size, to material, to hardware is considered for the owner. To know that I hit their style on the dot, makes the time/effort feel worth it!!
