I graduated from Fashion School 5 years ago and started a home sewing business, making clothes for all occasions. Christmas was coming when I decided to make some colorful fabric handbags, so my clients could purchase and give as Christmas gifts to their family and friends. Business picked up and before I knew it - it was a full blown business.  I kept on improving my bags in such a way that I ended up turning myself into a full time handbag designer.

My bags are mostly made of denim and canvas, which are natural fiber fabrics and I use delicate cotton prints for lining. I also use a matelasse technique on many parts of the bag in order to make them structured. The main idea of the designs is to bring together a young girls femininity and the look of a homemade project, with kind of a retro feeling.  I´m very happy with the results of two years of self taught handbag modeling and sewing. We still don't have a good course on handbags here in Rio de Janeiro, nor many books on that subject.

Today I sell my bags in Fashion Events and through internet and most people come back for a second or third purchase, which makes me believe that I'm going in the right direction.
