Treading these fashion waters, I might say it began for me 10 years ago, although it would not cover the waterfront. I regard my design as a natural extension of my various interests since early childhood, such as music and painting. And dreaming. My first bags were made out of recycled paper, dedicated to my wife. Surprised by the kind comments and warm reception of my work in the neighborhood, I pressed on and am still pressing on, with great joy and personal fulfillment.

I let my visions work for me. Each bag is unique and hand-made, they are predominantly made in either leather or wood and metal. Still, recycled paper is the core of my most intimate work. The word ecology came later, after pure natural inspiration gave birth to these bags. As I am inspired by the wish to create, I work spontaneously and without any burden. Oddly enough, what sets fire to my imagination is most often rock music. Through my work, I try to reflect the imagery it creates in my mind. And selling this imagery is not a bad outcome at all. My target audience are self-confident, modern women over 25, with attitude and style, who use fashion as a means of expressing their personality. And what better way to do that than by accessorizing!

My designer nightmare story happened when my bags were to be exhibitioned in New York. After a 15 day quarantine, the Customs office did not let my bags enter the US, as they couldn't believe they were made out of paper. The bags were returned to Croatia, unseen by New Yorker's eyes. I consider it my greatest achievement that my bags are in the collection of Amsterdam's Museum of Bags and Purses (Tassen museum Hendrikje), enjoying the company of Chanel, Hermes and the likes. Currently, my bags are being sold in several shops in Croatia, word of mouth being the strongest PR. My works successfully contributed to various fashion shows in my country, and now I believe the time is right to present myself to a broader audience.
