Using beautiful restrained colors and shades of earth and sky indigenous to our home, we love creating beautiful and unique handbags.  Our designs are inspired by deserts, mountains, expansive views and long drives. We draw on the innovative spirit found throughout the Southwest and especially our home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Using top-grain leathers, brushed gold hardware and lots of beautiful details, the designs are a modern, luxurious interpretation, playing off the beautiful restrained shades of the desert. kristopher skott bags are subtly Southwestern, with a classic and chic touch.  Together we develop vibrant collections of luxurious handbags designed to meet the needs of women who are confident in their own style.

The next evolution will include small leather goods, including wallets, cosmetic cases and coin purses. We will be incorporating patent leathers and pony hair into the collections, but don’t expect the designs to veer too trendy. When it comes to the design of a bag, kristopher skott stays true to the heart of the Southwest.

We live in Scottsdale, Arizona and are influenced by our environment. We felt a need to reinterpret traditional Southwestern luxury. We saw a void in the market, so we created kristopher skott handbags to reflect the beauty and energy we experience everyday.

We approach design as a process of trial and error, and some days we definitely experience more error. We do not have an individual nightmare story, although some days a design sinks its teeth in, and no matter how awful, it just will not let go. For those little monsters, we have wall of horrendous prototypes. But even on some of the scariest designs, there is at least one good detail that may find its way into a successful production.

Launching a profitable fashion design business with no loans or outside investors is a tremendous achievement, especially given today’s market conditions. Creating within the context of the kristopher skott brand promise and design principles continues to drive our advancement in the industry.
