My name is Danielle Howarth I have been designing and making bags now for a little over 3 years. This started as a small business out of my laundry room, and now I have my own studio in my basement. Along with my designing bags I work as a RN, and am a Mom to 2 small boys. Therefore time is precious so If I get spare time I am usually sewing or coming up with new ideas.

I would have to say my 3 favorite things to use in my bags is cotton fabric, clear or colored vinyl, and grommets. My most popular bag is my Vinyl Covered Tote which is a bag I have had from the beginning, but is still the favorite of all. It is really a bag for all ages which is why I believe it is so popular. It is very versatile. Many use it as a beach bag, others for school, everyday, or even for a diaper bag. All or the Vinyl Covered Totes, are like they say, covered in vinyl and have a front pocket in the front, so you can easily find your keys, or cell phone. The vinyl makes it so easy to clean too, another reason people like it.

I am continually inspired to keep going in my journey of designing and making bags when I keep hearing all the feedback from my clients. It always makes me smile when I hear from people who carry my bags, "everywhere I go everyone says I love your bag, where did you get it" . That is reason enough for me to keep going, just knowing I can make someone a little more stylish.

My line got started about 3 years ago when I started doing craft shows around my area. It started with just a couple and now for this year I will be at just about 20 shows. As people keep[ buying, I just keep making and coming up with new designs.  I want people to know that my line of bags is so fun and versatile whether they use it for everyday, of just an evening away. That is why I say I have a bag for any occasion.

I do however have some nightmares that arise. As some of you know when you work with vinyl it is not very forgiving of mistakes. One time I had just finished a Vinyl Covered Tote bag and went to give it one final press job. I was not paying attention to what I was doing and put the iron right on top of the vinyl. Therefore I had a iron imprint right on the front of my bag and an iron covered in burnt plastic. There is not much you can do to fix that, but just start over.

I would have to say my greatest achievement is just seeing more and more people carry my bags. Not just people I know, but strangers also. To know that someone likes my bag well enough to make it a part of their everyday life, that makes me smile.
