My name is Lynn Miller, the designer in the partnership of CHERYLYNN DESIGNS, LLC.. My cohart and sister-in-law, Cheryl Witman provides the business knowledge, which in turn allows me to create handbags. Born into a family of seamstresses and sewing since I was ten years old, I learned exceptional skills from my maternal grandmother, a professional, and my mother - both were extremely talented. I have over 40 years sewing experience to draw from.

Thinking about creating handbags came about as a result of a discussion with Cheryl over beach totes and how to make them more versatile and user friendly for today's consumer. This conversation took place in July of 2007. Things seemed to take off from that point. We began talking handbags, purses and now even expanding into accessories. We market our product locally, which keeps us going, launched our own website and keep working diligently to make that big break into wholesaling.

We like working with cottons trying to work new exciting colors and designs into our bags. We have just started designing with faux trims and are excited about the way it solves the question of "It just needs a little something". We want our bags looking exciting but affordable. Everything about our bags are assembled locally in the United States.  We take this very serious as both Lynn and I know how important having jobs available with a fair wage is. We have interviewed over 50 applicants who have a desire to work from home. We found we have a never ending resource for skillful workers and professional seamstresses.

To date, our biggest nightmare has been spending to much on new materials and accessories to sew with. We really had to slow done. Also, finding a way to actually get to buyers without spending a small fortune. Which is what we hope to accomplish here. However, the fun we have been having working for ourselves, the joy of employing work at home seamstresses and the excitement of our finished product has been our greatest achievement. Working to continue with this dream and plan makes it all worthwhile.
