Story: My name is Adelya D'Bour. I have been in fashion and
accessory business for over 20 years. In my past I've been involved with various
types of fashion design, some of which includes working with fur and leather
outerwear and headwear. I started my current handbag and accessory collection
out of my own desire to have sexy, beautiful and comfortable handbags. I've
always been very particular with my accessories, but had a hard time finding a
handbag that was luxurious and comfortable at the same time. I have been
creating bags for myself for quite some time now and recently decided to make it
my business. My handbag and accessory lines started out of my inspiration to
create comfort and elegance with a touch of something unique.
I use only high-quality Italian leathers and hardware in our collections. What
makes D’Bour handbags different is a certain hand crafted leather look that I
designed myself. I work with the same high-quality leather with my own hands,
using a certain method of craft, to get the "scrunched" look that you can see in
our designs. As a result, every handbag of ours is made out of (or has a part of
a bag) handmade "scrunched" leather that is hand crafted. Essentially every
handbag that is produced is unique in a sense that each hand crafted part could
not be replicated.
As the designer of D’Bour handbags, I would like women to know how amazingly
comfortable D’Bour handbags are. The leather is so soft that you'd want to touch
it all the time. The handle is designed to be exceptionally comfortable. Even if
you have a ton of things stuffed in your bag, it will not hurt your shoulder,
because of the softness and cushion that the handle provides.
So far, we have been very fortunate and have not had any nightmares. However,
getting to this point in this business is an achievement on its own. Every step
further is a great achievement. Our recent news is our brand new showroom in New
York City, to be opened to buyers at the end of the month.
