| Jane Marvel was created in 2002 to provide chic
alternatives for organizing. Our nesting cubes, zip boxes, pouches, even our
tote bags provided decorative storage solutions for any room in an apartment,
home, office, or children's rooms. Our line of products then expanded to include
more items – many of them for children – all made with our coated cotton that
allowed these items to wear beautifully: whatever your organizing need, there
was a Jane Marvel product to help!
Six months ago I made a trip overseas where I discovered I could make all my favorite items so beautifully and expediently, that I created an entire new line of all bags: bags for travel, weekends, laptops, running errands, and even bags that I hope will replace shopping bags (they’re designed to look just like them!). I started designing my own fabrics as well, and the price point became irresistible. Why pay hundreds of dollars for bags, when you can pay a fraction of that and still have great style that’s affordable and practical…? We changed our coating to PU, which is healthy for the environment and consumer, became leather-free and the new Jane Marvel was born.
This is our “revolutionary” new line of bags. Why is it revolutionary? Because I
believe it is every woman’s right to have great style and not go broke getting
it. We even include a free gift in every bag! (doesn’t every girl love a bit of
swag?) We include an FAA approved clear zip pouch with a fun useful extra item
inside…
I know this is going to sound crazy, but I have no nightmare stories! Except for
a few non-paying clients along the way, I have had easy customers, and my
experience overseas has so far been a pleasure. (there’s something so gratifying
about designing a fabric onto an Illustrator document then emailing it to
someone you’ve never met who makes it for one of your own designed bags!)
My greatest achievement so far is that I get to do all this in my home, so I am
“home for dinner” with my two children and husband…
