| 1. | i love these bags! i've seen them at Searle and found myself standing there and drooling over them. they are luscious. can anyone guess where my next paycheck is going? - suzieq from ny, February 20, 2008. | | 2. | I like your design philosophy. - Tara Sauvage from WA, February 24, 2008. | | 3. | Just bought the Charlie in a gorgeous kelly green color & am IN LOVE. I adore the versatility & the leather is heaven. Just enough hardware to be interesting without screaming trying too hard! Keep up the great work, Flora - your site is now bookmarked on my computer! - Jaime from CA, May 11, 2008. |

Story: Tulah Ray is a contemporary collection that has
long-lasting style with a lot of function. I've always been inspired by vintage
handbags and all their special extras. I try to add that idea into each one of
my bags. I want to create a bag that one can wear for ages so I am careful in
not over-styling the bag and using exceptional leathers that age beautifully.
Spring '08 is Tulah Ray's 3rd Season.
All the hardware on our bags is custom designed and logo'd. Since I believe so
strongly in function, I make sure that each piece serves a purpose; very little
of our hardware is simply decorative. Our target audience is the contemporary
customer - one who may buy designer but is happy to mix with smaller unknown
brands, one that appreciates quality and workmanship but is also a trendsetter.
Tulah Ray was started by myself, Flora Ong, a designer with six years of handbag
experience, and an industry veteran, Kathy Wang, with over twenty years in the
business. Together we felt that we had what it took to make a collection that
would stand out in today's saturated market. We feel that customers are sick of
the few brands that dominate the contemporary market and wanted to offer a fresh
product with a new attitude.
Focus is on function and style - a hint of vintage, a bit of rocker - a lot of
attitude. I can't recall anything that was so bad that I still remember it.
Mistakes happen often but you just make them right and move on. With that said,
I don't think I've reached my greatest accomplishment yet - that is why I keep
going.
