Story:

The girl that carries our bags aren't afraid to take risks, is playful with fashion and will definitely stand out in a crowd with out screaming for attention. I'm deeply inspired by art history as well as contemporary artists since I have extensive experience in the arts. I love Elsa Schiaparelli and fellow surrealist artists and their their whimsical approach to fashion and art and seeing clothes and accessories as a canvas for expression. People love our bags because we dare to give you that acid yellow bag, the hot pink bag also our custom prints do great! Any designer can give you a plaid or floral bag but we'll give you a bag with dancing elephants on it or a bag with honey dripping down the side :)  Currently we are putting on the finishing touches to our our Fall'08 collection and have already started developing new patterns and shapes for Spring '09.

It was sort of organic, just a process of decisions that always lead back to handbags and creating my own things. I have always had a love for making and design handbags ever since I learned to sew from my grandmother when I was little. Then in High School I was sewing bags with vintage fabrics I had with a sewing machine my mother gave me for my 16th birthday and selling them to girls at school out of the back of my car after school. I then went on to art school and my senior thesis was a wall of over 40 bags that i had hand sewn and displayed like a giant mosaic. I went on to design collections for several companies and eventually I figured I was doing it so well for other people, i just make the leap and do it for myself :)

I want people to know that from the moment of inspiration to the day the product arrives in our customer's hands me and my small design team all had a hand in it and enjoyed every moment of it. While working at Takashi Murakami's studios we were taught that the process of creating was just as important as the creation itself. Even though it may something very simple, it came from several different steps of inspiration and series of technical development just to get to the point that it is.

Knock on wood! We haven't had any nightmare stories, or maybe we have, but we try to look at everything in a positive light. We've had people make mistakes things have fallen through but it's a challenge and if it weren't challenging my job would be boring!

The greatest achievement is when we receive an e-mail or call from a friend saying how much they love their new bag and all the compliments they get from it. I love what I do and love what I make and and to able to share that joy with someone and when you can just see it on their face or hear it in their voice, that's a true accomplishment.
