Story: After working with national branded accessories for
over six years, I left my role as a Fashion Director to launch a signature
handbag collection. The collection is debuting for spring summer 2008 with the
intentions of being the next must-have classic in women's designer accessories.
Our woman is both sophisticated and stylish. She desires sensible product that
is equally luxurious. I design with the philosophy of creating "investment
worthy" product that exudes a timeless appeal and is crafted with superb
quality. All of the leathers are carefully selected for their texture, color and
beauty. While the bags are manufactured in New York, the leathers are mostly
chosen from Italy and France. The bags are also all lined with a signature blush
pink pig suede lining, unique to Jessica Jensen.
Jessica Jensen launched in response to the need for sophisticated, wearable
luxury at an affordable price point. Today's trends are moving faster and
faster, turning fashion into disposable product. I wanted women to feel that
they could invest in a bag that would take them from season to season without
going out of style. Within the collection, a number of the bags are limited
editions. Only 250 of each bag are manufactured, offering further exclusivity to
the consumer.
To avoid any nightmare stories, I stayed at the manufacturer from open to close
for almost two weeks straight as my first samples were being prepared. My
greatest achievement has been seeing the positive expressions on the faces of
buyers and press alike as they discover a new line that carries not only my
name, but everything I stand for.
