I began collaborating with artist Ram Yaari in 2003, by giving the artist handbags, and pieces of handbags, to both print and hand-paint originals - meaning, one of a kind items. The handbags are now going into limited editions for 2008. A defined elegant look for the modern, discerning woman, with an eye for a unique statement - beauty and art to carry everywhere she goes.

The materials used are; quality leather, hand-designed findings (cast and original), materials printed and hand-painted, all made in-house. Beautiful, quality silk lining, with each bag carefully hand-laced for strength and durability. Each bag and wallet has specially designed pockets, each one in its own unique style for the convince of special items. Our target audience includes wealthy tourists visiting Bali, women with a desire for an item that is uniquely hers and only hers - individual, something that no-one else will ever have, and high-end stores around the world. As inspiration, the amazing island of Bali with its eclectic beauty and ubiquitous creative people speaks for itself.

The handbag line started in 1998, after I opened a small boutique in Sanur, Bali. My unique style brought the need to supply unique accessories to complete the look, and saw clients requesting wholesale accessories. Each piece made is unique, one of a kind, handmade with love and attention to detail, with special consideration to a woman's requirements; all inspired by the arts, and innovative artists in Bali.

A nightmare; when everything goes wrong, and the client wants it yesterday! Due to our exclusive materials and designs, much time, effort, and great care is needed to ensure the top quality of each item - we do not compromise on this, thus if something goes wrong, it must be fixed to perfection.

I have always wanted to be a designer since my earliest memories as a child; watching and being inspired by people making things by hand in my village. Then, after studying in New York, Japan, and Indonesia, I wanted to help my local village people to improve the quality of their lives, and to be able to share beauty and inspiration to all. It is a great joy for me to see women looking beautiful and feeling specially attractive because of my products. I really enjoy hearing tale of the compliments women received when wearing and using Yaari Toya designs. By opening my store and factory, I am on my way to accomplishing my dream.
