1. So very cool!!! Amazing designs. Keep up the good work!! - Monica from FL, April 04, 2008.

Story:
We have recently completed a series that we are pretty excited about. Our Purses of Pain and Misery series includes four handbags that start from the same pattern, but vary in detail. The Fool, The Wounded, The Loss, and The Black Heart combine both design and conceptual issues.

We use a lot of vinyl. We like this material because of its ability to hold difficult and unusual forms. It is also durable and weather resistant. Our target audience is diverse and our consumers share an appreciation of careful craftsmanship combined with low-brow popular culture. Our inspiration is varied and includes; haute couture, fashion hackers, designer toys, gym equipment, fashion as a symbol for social identity, video games, punk rock music and other subcultures. Our handbags are more than a simple accessory; they are intended to provide others with a unique symbol for self expression. We value attention to detail and quality; we strive to give our consumer a reliable product.

We, Randi & I started making handbags out of dissatisfaction with our limited options as consumers. We like to think of ourselves as agents in fashion and accessory intervention, especially since we are twins. Our desire to make our ideas a reality continuously drives our production. Every project has the potential for disaster built into it; this is part of the excitement in creating new things. We see this as a challenge in terms of mastering complicated problems set forth by ourselves.

Every sale that we make to a complete stranger is our greatest achievement. We believe that being able to create a product that we are excited about and at the same time strikes a nerve with another person is what success is all about.
