1. digging the lightning bolt bag! - Jackie from Wa, November 28, 2006.

Story:

I started making bags while in grad school for business and media. I did it during my downtime (between studying for my two master's degrees and two part-time jobs)! I made a few for myself, then for classmates. I always wanted my own clothing line but always had an addiction to hanbags (I have a collection of about 50-60 bags other than my own brand and still growing). So while I was learning about business, I started my own.

The Stylesse line consists of fabric and leather, studs and other hardware. Moving into more leather for Spring 2007. My inspiration comes from everyday things, shapes, weather, candy, etc. My goal is to create fun, great quality bags that are conversation starters, and the centerpiece of an outfit, but not so expensive that you have to sacrifice paying your rent for style.

I am a former scientist and former jewelry designer so I have a lot of attention to detail, which can be seen in my bags. I am currently developing my Spring 2007 line but it has been quite the experience so far. My only piece of advice is get a trusty contractor.  My greatest achievement and what has made all of this worth it is that I've done everything myself, and people appreciate and love my designs and my point of view.
