| From a young age, I have traveled extensively with my
family and friends. I quickly learned how exciting it is to experience new
cultures and include international styles into my wardrobe. I launched Europa
Chic to share the style of a world traveler with every woman. The exotic styles
of Europa Chic are not only unique and chic but affordable, making it a reality
for any woman to own a superior quality, stylish bag.
I visited Italy this summer and became inspired by their classic style. I'm
currently designing bags that have a classic feel but with a bit of a twist. I
choose leather as my material of choice due its durability and versatility. I
wanted to give my customers maximum versatility in terms of their product so
that they can get the most use out of their products. Leather ranges from
pebbled and rough to soft and buttery in terms of texture. Likewise, you can
dress up a leather bag or it can be very casual.
I always wanted to own my own business, especially after finishing my MBA. I
remember studying about entrepreneurs, thinking "I could do that". For several
years, I compiled contacts and information and established a business plan, all
the while thinking "next year I'll start the business". Several years went by
and I hadn't started my business, lacking the gumption to finally give it a try.
In the spring of 2006 my mother suddenly passed away, making me realize just how
short life is; if you want something in this life, you need to go for it. I
started my business with a vengeance and haven't given it a second thought.
Sometimes designs look fantastic on paper (and in your head) but don't translate
well into a finished product. It's happened several times. At those times,
learning to be tenacious and creative is a plus. However, my greatest
achievement has been that in the midst of the hardest year of my life, I started
a successful handbag company, turning my energy towards something positive. |
