Meet Audree Halasz, creator of the edgy yet approachable line Dutchy.

To sum up where I am at now, all I can say is ideas and more ideas; I always have so many ideas, but never enough time to implement them all. I’m clear now on what my line is—high end, funky, vintage-inspired, and where it fits in the marketplace. One thing is for sure, I stand behind my quality, construction, materials and service.

I have been consistently using soft, subtle Italian leathers with very cool and unique vintage-inspired brocade lining. My target audiences are the gals who take my cardio kickboxing class—fun, urban and well educated women of all ages!

My background is as unique - I went from costumes to bags and I wore out my creation and got tons of compliments. I’ve always needed just a little positive reinforcement to get the ball rolling; the same goes for Dutchy. Besides, after getting my Masters in Organizational Psychology I realized I didn’t want to spend my life trying to change people in organizations when they didn’t want to change.

So far I haven't had any nightmares to date, but some designs that didn’t quite turned out as they existed in my head. But in the end when woman who have a Dutchy bag buy another because they love it so much; that is very cool and makes it all worth it.
