1. Where can I find the extremely beautiful DARA-Bag? I saw it in a catalog and tore the page out, so that I could purchase it, however, the email or phonemail were I could order was not on the page. Phewy! Got to have this handbag - Vicki from Ga, October 22, 2008.
2. Dying to find the BF Darla handbag! - Sheryl Balcar from Chicago IL, November 10, 2008.

My personal bags have to be very light. I have no idea how this insane trend for heavy bags started. When I design my handbags, I always design them with the man’s outfit in mind – after all, we want him to be carrying our bag… With my collection, I am just where I want to be - selling in my own New York City store and on HSN.  This way, I can talk to the consumer directly.

My inspiration is myself. I design for my own closet and what I want to be wearing. My accessories that are whimsical, unique and irresistible. I don’t follow fashion trends, but keep to my own mantra of “too much is not enough”. I use all kinds of materials. I am an international creator, living in Spain, working in Asia and Europe. I have access to the finest materials the world has to offer, but not necessarily the most “expensive”. What’s most important is the mixing of the various materials from different countries that gives my handbags their special look. It’s also the details that are important. I use leopard linings for the bit of animal in all of us.

The handbag division was a natural offshoot from my shoe collection. I have always done handbags for my European and Asian markets (we are sold in over 40 countries worldwide), so I felt it was time to start marketing them in the United States. My view is always when you use a Beverly Feldman handbag, you can put a penny in a jar for every compliment you get, and you will soon be rich.

I am though, not without my own 'situations' like any other designer. Once, I did a collection and the factory was moving to a bigger facility and did not make my samples... To cut a very long story short - I had to take a summer collection of prototypes and turn it magically into a winter collection of samples. Amazing how being pushed into a corner can lead to creativity. With all of that said though my greatest achievement are the great stories women from all over the world tell me about their Beverly Feldman bags, how many times they get stopped and asked about their bag, and the wonderful things they do with my bag on their arm. How could that not make it all worth it at the end of the day?
