Lucky for us that Paris is still getting good licensing deals in this dismal economy. Between Jessica Simpson and Paris, you would think that the celebrity endorsed item would still be hot but actually in this current environment it is on the decline. Celebrities typically are not marketers but marketed and when left to their own devices, unmanaged and not being given any direction - they are not good selling tools. Unlike several 'unnamed' boutiques in L.A. that pay stipends to celebs to shop so their bags are seen on the streets, the celebrity 'it' item can only go so far. However, all bets are off when dealing with Paris because no matter how tacky or cheesy she looks or the item that she 'allegedly' had so much to do with in the creative process, she will always wear her own bags. That's a word of advice from Paris Hilton, go figure.
